Experienced St. Louis Educator Cherie Null
Cherie Null began her career in education as a second through fourth-grade teacher with the Ritenour School District in St. Louis, Missouri. She trained several student teachers, mentored numerous teachers and led professional workshops for the district between 1978 and 2009 as well as serving on the districts science, reading, and communication arts committees followed by nine additional years as a preferred substitute teacher. After transitioning to a substitute teaching role, Cherie Null expanded her professional activities to include roles such as educator at the Epstein Hebrew Academy and manager of a St. Louis business, Myseum, that let children to explore science through hands on activities, and wrote curriculum for school field trips that visited this science educational venue.In recent years, she has worked as a teacher's aide at St. Paul Lutheran Church Preschool as well as an after school program leader for them for grades K-6,owned and taught at a private tutoring service for grades 1-7, founded and directed a Children’s Church program at the church she attends, and worked as a personal trainer with Curves Gym.
Ms. Null studied childcare and guidance at Southeast Missouri State University. After achieving her early childhood degree and certification to work with kindergartners, she completed an elementary education program at the university. She worked as a personal assistant in the dorm and served as a member of the service sorority while pursuing her bachelor's degree. Ms. Null concluded her education by completing a master of arts in special education program at the University of Missouri, St. Louis.While pursuing her master’s degree she completed classes to become certified to teach learning disabled students grades K-12.
